Process Server's Toolbox - Online Help Tool - Reviewing An Existing Type of Service

This setup example will demonstrate how we added the "SUBSTITUTE - RESIDENTIAL" Type of Service.

Currently we should be on the Main Window of Process Server's Toolbox (note: if you still have the "Edit a Type of Service" window up, for "Individual/Personal", please click "Cancel").

To begin, go to "Setup>Affidavits>Type of Service".

Choose "SUBSTITUTE - RESIDENTIAL" & click "Accept" (note: when we added this type of service, we chose "Add New").

When you add a new type of service, the"Type of Service" (title), "Template", etc will be empty.

We began by typing the Type of Service Title, which is "SUBSTITUTE – RESIDENTIAL”.

Next is the verbiage for the Type of Service "Template".

To make some text print in bold on the Affidavit of Service, we click the "B" to the right of the template field before typing.

Note: You can also use standard shortcut keys for Bold (Ctrl-B), Underline (Ctrl-U) & Italics (Ctrl-I).

Now that we have our text typed in Bold, we click the "B" again to turn off the "Bold" option.

We then continued typing the verbiage for the “SUBSTITUTE - RESIDENTIAL” type of service. We then inserted the field for "Documents Served" and put that field in bold. Since this text is different on a job by job basis, we inserted the “Documents Served” field so the template will work for all jobs.

After inserting the "Documents Served", we continued typing the verbiage for this type of service.

When we come to verbiage that can be automatically inserted from the job, we need to insert a field into the template so that each form will contain the correct information on a per job basis.

Now we can select the Service Status & the New Jersey & California Equivalents for this type of service.

Note: Not all Types of Service will have a New Jersey / California Equivalent.
